Thanks to the kindness of the Chief Priest of Hongyoji Temple Nakano, we were able to allow our guests to view the Shoin sliding door painting “ Blue Lotus and Crimson Lotus” and the folding screen painting “Nichiren Nirvana” which are usually not open to the public.

Doors with pictures on folding screens lined up in front of sliding doors, created a dynamic effect, and showcased the Buddhist symbol of the lotus in all of its glory and beauty. This was the first time such an arrangement had been seen, even by the creator, Shiozawa himself.

The painting of “Nichiren Nirvana” is scheduled to be exhibited at the main hall on February 16^th next month, along with another work, the ”White Lotus Folding Screen”.
