On March 21, Shiozawa joined a session at the live bar Cinematic Saloon in Demachiyanagi—his first in quite some time!
A professional duo consisting of a bassist and a saxophonist invited Shamisen Jack to join them, and they also asked Shiozawa to perform as a percussionist.

This is an improvised performance featuring shamisen, saxophone, bass guitar, and percussion—with no prior planning, sheet music, or rehearsals.

Shiozawa performed using a variety of rhythm instruments, primarily the darbuka and cajón, as well as ankle bells and slit drums.
The first set ran nonstop for an hour. The way they blended together was so seamless, you’d never guess it was their first time.

They blend their unique and exceptional playing styles, and the musicians themselves are enjoying the new sound that has emerged from this fusion.

“Let’s do this again!” said the members, feeling refreshed after the performance.
It’s truly an enviable world—one where only talented musicians can pull off such sessions.
