December 26th: The last meeting of the year

The final Samurai Dining Gathering of the year on December 26th featured a lecture by Noh actor Tatsumi Manjiro.

Manjiro Tatsumi decided to perform Noh for the sake of peace and traveled to many countries around the world. He told many interesting stories, including the dangerous episode he experienced when performing Noh in Jerusalem, and ended his performance by singing a Noh piece called “Oyakoko(Filial Piety)” It was a beautiful voice that reached the universe.

Shiozawa once again lectured the new participants on his achievements in creating Shinto and Buddhist paintings, which were met with thunderous applause.

Also joining us today was artist Kenji Koga, who is the Japanese representative for the Jackson Family Foundation and presented a wonderful poster explaining his world peace activities.

This year we have met many wonderful people and our activities will continue to expand from next year.
