A live performance was held at Moyoji, a Nichiren sect temple located in a residential area 10 minutes walk from Odakyu Ebina station.
The leading singer, Minehaha, invited Shiozawa to make a special appearance.
A performance not included in the program that surprised everyone was the Chief Priest chanting a live sutra accompanied by Shiozawa doing a percussion improv.
The magical words of Kishimo Sonjin, the vocal gymnastics and sublime rhythmn of the priest’s sutra, are carried out with an energy synonymous with that of rock music. This, along with the hypnotic groove of Shiozawa’s darbuka, could be heard echoing through the main hall.
The collaborative performance with Minehaha was, of course, a big hit with the audience.
Toward the end of the performance, the Buddha’s chest glowed with a mysterious gentle light, as if he were happy.
