EVENT

On March 20th, a miraculous three-way discussion was held in Kyoto.

The three person’s discussion event was held at the Tokiwa Shinden Hall of Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto. There were about 140 people in the venue, and nearly 100 people participating on Zoom.

Each of the three speakers gave a unique self-introduction.

Nomura Chief Priest: During the COVID19 period, the Gion festival was cancelled, which angered the gods resulting in various natural disasters around Japan. After the pandemic was officially over, I strongly protested to KCTA (Kyoto City Tourism Association) about the Tourism plan for Gion Festival, which costs 400,000 yen per seat, allowing people to drink alcohol while looking down the path that the gods walk. This year when the solar planets reset, we need to return the festival to its rightful and proper form, and at Yasaka shrine, I’m going to return it to Gion Kanshin-in, a temple that combines Shinto and Buddhist ideologies.

Dr. Inoue: Born in 1945 after the end of the Pacific War, I studied cells, safe vaccines, pathogens and antigens that have existed for 3.8 billion years. I focused on the corona spike virus five years ago and became a YouTuber four years ago in order to disperse the objective scientific truth. I’ve been banned 700, 000 times for my efforts. Although I face adversity every day, I want to continue to convey the truth to as many people as possible with conviction.

Shiozawa: Although I have run a design company for over 40 years and worked on photo books for many celebrities, I felt tired of the fact it will be forgotten in 100 years. At the age of 60, I decided to set up a studio in Kyoto because I wanted to learn more about Japan. When I was sent a photo of a small child praying to one of my paintings, it gave me huge motivation to continue doing Japanese religious cultural art. When I was in third grade elementary school, my views on life and death were influenced when I experienced the family group suicide of one of my classmates. This incident continues to influence my work to this day. I hope to convey the meaning of human life in my art.

Here are just a few of the things that will be important for the future.

Chief Priest: There is a meaning embedded in words, that which everyone should be aware of. Such meaning is connected to the invisible powers and energies of the interconnected world around us. What is a god? What is the meaning of kashiwade wo utsu (clapping one’s hands)? He explained all of these meaning in detail.

Dr. Inoue: There is a Chinese funded human-ranch row in the Uyghur region. There are enough human organs stored there to supply transplants to hospitals for years. Therefore, it is no need for pig organs for transplants but ultimately it is blasphemous. The pursuit of prolonging human life is loaded with ethical dilemmas. In life science, there is a mechanism called autophagy, in which healthy cells eat and purify weak or defective cells to maintain life. Nutritionally, humans are designed so that we don’t have to cannibalize each other in order to survive. To what extent will humans go to prolong life and at what cost?

Shiozawa: The real fear in war is hunger, not weapons, and Buddha began preaching to prevent cannibalism, which makes humans less human, through war. He did not want to spread Buddhism, but rather, his main theme was how to maintain human dignity.

The heated discussion lasted for two hours.

Afterwards, the 1st floor’s work “Cosmic Dragon” was introduced and explained, and many people participated in the Q&A session.

For the after-party, an entire Kyoto townhouse was rented out for the event, and the room was filled with so many guests that it ended in great success.
