Mr. Nishihara, the chairman of the tourist association from Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and his wife came to visit our atelier.

Nishihara, a businessman in Mishima city, is an avid reader and thereby very knowledgeable. Whenever Shiozawa returns to Mishima, he always makes time to call Nishihara for a chat. This time Mr. and Mrs. Nishihara came to Kyoto for a tea ceremony conducted by tea master Unrasenke, and we all spent some quality time together.

In the limited time we had, Shiozawa took them to Yasaka Shrine to see the Cosmic Dragon. We took a commemorative photo with Mr. Imasaki, the shrine hand.

We then headed to Kamishichiken, where there are relatively few tourists, and showed them around Senbon Shakado, where a national treasure Buddha statue is kept.

Shiozawa showed Nishihara paint Takaokami, who is the goddess which had been decided to be dedicated to Kifune Shrine in Kyoto and talked with him what goddess appropriate for the next Mishima Taisha shrine dedication.

We also had a great time talking sharing stories about the gods with his wife, who is very knowledgeable about Japanese ancient lore.
