“Fiesta Mexicana Kyoto 2024” was held at Kyoto TV KSB Hall on September 14^th, in preparation for annual Kyoto Summer.

We were given tickets to the festival by the owner of the Mexican restaurant, El Latino, and enjoyed a few cold drinks at his stand as a welcome break from production.

Even though we went in the evening to avoid the sweltering heat of the day, which is typical of Kyoto at this time of the year, we were drenched in sweat by the time we reached the hall. Thankfully the venue was cool and comfortable, and with Mexican music playing in the background, we felt like we had been transported out of Kyoto and into Mexico!

We quickly toasted each other with Corona beers.

Soon after, a live performance of Sabor A Mi started to play creating some seriously romantic vibes…or was it just the wine?

The food was delicious, especially the burritos and the wine, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our temporary Mexican getaway.
