August 17th was a beautiful sunny day! On this day, we visited Bakibaki-kun’s production studio in Juso, Osaka. There is located in a huge former factory site, just like the one in New York. It’s so cool!
After that, he organized a tour of the interesting mural artworks in the city of Juso.
Dynamic clouds floated against a clear blue sky, creating a nice combination that made the mural stand out even more.
The artistic murals have become the symbol of Juso, and are helping to create an artistic town. This is a rare attempt in Japan.
The best part is the Taro Okamoto mural. Taro is bursting with joy.
After finishing the tour and passing through the shrine, we came across a small park where a mysterious outdoor theater troupe was welcoming customers with their upcoming performance. The city of Juso is really deep.
Then, we had some beer standing up at a nostalgic sake shop and izakaya, and finally had a leisurely chat at a Yakiton restaurant. We were surprised at the value for money and the taste of the food- 2 skewers of yakiton, potato salad and alcohol for Just 530 yen!
Thank you everyone with us today!
And then, thank you Juso! We will definitely come again!
