The client’s patron deity is Tada Shrine. It enshrines five noblemen—including Minamoto no Mitsunaka, the ancestor of the Seiwa Genji clan, as well as Yorimitsu, Yorimichi, Yoriyoshi, and Yoshikage—and is famous as a shrine said to bring good fortune to the family and enhance one’s luck in competitions.

Minamoto no Mitsunaka established his power as a military force in the service of the imperial court and enjoyed a period of prosperity; he was a key figure in the 700-year history of samurai society, spanning the Kamakura, Muromachi, and Edo periods. Since he founded Japan’s first group of combatants—an organization that later seized political power and shaped the course of Japanese history—he is considered the originator of it all.
Kuzuryu is a dragon god said to possess the greatest power of all dragons and to stand at the pinnacle of the dragon hierarchy.


This work was created to serve as a talisman for the client, helping to attract good fortune.
Mitsunaka manipulating Kuzuryu, and calms the disaster. And he holds three arrows of good fortune. The painting depicts him standing at the forefront of the Milky Way—the galaxy in which we exist—warding off disaster and leading the way toward a new era.
Beyond that, the Andromeda Nebula swirls, waiting for the day it will merge with the Milky Way.
