On this day, we left Kyoto early in the morning and headed for the Hosho Theatre in Suidobashi, Tokyo.
Today we had the opportunity to meet Mr.Manjiro Tatsumi, who performed the Noh play “Jinmu” that we just saw at Nachi Taisha Shrine on Ocober 4th.
Manjiro Tatsumi is a Noh actor of the Hosho school, a school of Shite(chief) actors that has inherited the history of Noh, which flourished during the Muromachi period. He has participated in overseas performances in places like New York and London, directed and starred in new Noh plays, and performed in sessions with digital art and free jazz, continuing to promote new forms of Noh that go beyond the framework of traditional performing arts both at home and abroad.

Shiozawa made a bold proposal to him, such as performing a Buddha dance in India as a Noh performance, as a new initiative.
The two artists hit it off and the conversation was lively.
After that, we headed to Komaba Todaimae. We met Sarah, who has the soul of an alien, and we spent about three hours having a good time discussing our upcoming collaborative picture book, “Space Traveler(tentative title)”, and catching up on each other’s happenings.
