「了聞」のご住職との会議で偶然で必然の出会い！

An unexpected encounter at the first meeting with the chief priest of the Ossuary ”Ryomon”in Hiroo!

室町時代に天誉了聞上人によって創建された由緒ある浄土宗のお寺瑞華院の納骨堂が「了聞」です。そのお寺は、現在、全館個室の納骨堂となり新しいお寺とお墓の形をとどめて居ます。Ryomon is the ossuary of Zuikoin, a temple of the Jodo sect, which was built by Tenyo Ryomon Shonin in the Muromachi period.　Currently, the temple is a skyscreper in the center of Minami-Azabu, and the whole building is a private ossuary, providing an innovative solution to the lack of space in Tokyo for the remains of the deceased.

近代的ビルの美しい庭のあるエントランスをくぐるとギャラリーのようなロビーがあり、本当に絵画展示されています。もはや日本の伝統的寺の雰囲気とは異なります。
When you pass through the beautiful garden entrance to this modern building, you will find a gallery-like lobby where a plethora of paintings can be found adorning the walls. It is no longer the atmosphere of traditional Japanese temples.

室町時代の木造の了聞上人像や、阿弥陀如来が鎮座する本堂は荘厳な雰囲気です。
However, the main hall has a solemn atmosphere with a wooden statue of Ryomon Shonin from the Muromachi period, and golden Amida Nyorai enshrined.

この日はこの本堂でミネハハさんのコンサートも開催されました。
Minehaha’s concert was held at the main hall that day.

本日ご住職との初めての会議がありました。
Today we had our first meeting with the chief priest Fukui.

驚いたのは、浜松町で開催中の「仏とアート展」のシン・オープンラボの社長と同寺院の寺のエレベーターでばったり出会ったことです。中島社長はたまたまこの日のバイオリン演奏に呼ばれていたので我々と会ってびっくり。
What surprised us was that we bumped into the president of Shin Open Lab, at the “Buddha and Art Exhibition” being held in Hamamatsucho in the elevator at the same temple.
President Nakajima happened to be invited to see a violin performance here today, so we were very surprised to see him again unexpectedly.

これは阿弥陀如来のお導きだと思います。
We susspected that this was the work of Amida Nyorai himself, watching from the hevens.

やはり現実の世界は天のお計らいが私達を動かしているのですね。
After all, the real world is subject to the will of the gods, isn’t it?
