Reunion with a friend from Hong Kong！

コロナ禍の2年を含め全く会えなかった香港人の周君が来日し3年ぶりに再会！
Mr. Shou, a Hong Konger who we hadn’t seen at all, during the pandemic for two years, finally came to Japan and met up with us.

この3年で大きく変化した中国・香港の実情を聞きました。
We asked about the realities of China and Hong Kong, which have changed significantly over the past three years.

中国製造事情や経済の変化、香港の言論統制等、ビジネスが全て休止状態であったこと等、暗いニュースが多かったのは当然のことです。
It is only natural that there was a lot of dark news, such as the Chinese manufacturing situation, economic changes, the speech control in Hong Kong, and the fact that many businesses were either closed down or idle.

しかし、希望が持てるのは昨年、周君のご家庭に赤ちゃんが生まれた事です。ロスアンジェルスで誕生したアメリカ国籍の赤ちゃんです。

But what gives us hope is the birth of a baby in Shou’s family last year.
An American baby born in Los Angeles.

お子さんの未来の為にお父さんの周君は今エネルギーに溢れポジテイブな活動を始めています。
New dad Shou is now full of energy and starting to consider his parenting style to ensure a positive  future for his son.

2022年に生まれた赤ちゃんが20歳になる頃日本はどうなっているのでしょうか？
What will Japan be like when a baby born in 2022 turns 20?

私達が次世代に残すべき大事ものは何か？真剣に考えなくてはいけないと改めて強く感じました。
What considerations should we make to pave the way for the next generation？
We strongly believe that it is of cardinal importance for all of us to make this a top priority.
