現代神話の決定版！「海神の姫」塩澤文男絵本原画展　開催

私は奄美大島の加計呂麻島で海で泳いでるときに海蛇に首に巻きつかれて襲われた事があります。
25年前、私のこの壮絶な体験を親身に聞き入れた、岡本敏子さんが最初に発した言葉が「貴方、これは神話よ!私が文章書くから貴方絵を描きなさい‼︎」有無を言わせずこの絵画世界に引きずり込まれたきっかけです。
日頃から自分の脆弱さから来る、息苦しい世界から脱却したいと願っていた私にとって、人生の大転換となりました。
とはいえ絵画経験の乏しい私にとっては、当然苦しみながらの制作となりました。この貴重な体験と経験が私の画業を支える原点であり、今は亡き太郎と敏子の理想の神話世界なのかもしれません。

25 years ago, I was attacked by a sea snake while swimming in Kakeromajima in Amami Oshima.

Toshiko, the wife of Taro Okamoto, heard this story and said, “ This is a myth! I will write the narrative, and you should draw the picture!” Thus, the reason why began my journey into the world of painting. It was a big change in my life and enabled me to escape the superficiality of the world.

This book, which represents the ideal mythical world of the late Taro and Toshiko, was the starting point that launched my painting career.
