妙顕寺　曲水の庭　書院襖絵　制作

A sliding door picture(1.8MX12M) for the Shoin facing the garden of Kyokusui.

尾形光琳に触発、モダン抽象画で初めて襖絵に挑戦！

尾形光琳がデザインした曲水の庭は、有名な“紅白梅流図”の原型となったと言われます。
襖絵は曲水の庭に象徴される男松と女松を抽象的に描いたものです。
美しい庭を見て、ふと振り返るとモダンな抽象画の世界が展開します。多くの方々が襖絵を鑑賞しながらそこでお茶会が開かれます。

Kyokusui Garden designed by Ogata Korin which is called the prototype of the famous “Red and White Plum Water Flow Chart”.
The Sliding door picture is synchronized with “Kyokusui Garden” and abstracts the relationship between male and female pines.
While looking at the beautiful garden, if you look back casually, a colorful and modern abstract world spreads out there. A tea ceremony is held at the room, and many people are watching it.

妙顕寺様に泊まり毎朝お経を唱え、10日間で仕上げた傑作です。

A masterpiece that was completed in 10 days by staying at Myokenji Temple and chanting the sutra every morning.
