Dedication ceremony at Mahabodhi Temple

12月8日は、満月、仏陀悟りの日、太平洋戦争開戦の日、ジョンレノン暗殺の日、であります。
December 8th is the full moon, the day of Buddha Enlightenment, the day of the start of the Pacific War, and Jhon Lennon’s assassination.

午後4時、マハボデイ寺院悟りの菩提樹の瞑想のメインスペースで塩澤の「仏陀悟りの図」が飾られ、多くの仏教徒が集まる中で、お経が唱えられ、式典が執り行われました。悟りの日の為、通常より一層多くの巡礼者でひしめきあい少しづつしか進めません。読経の歌が寺院全域に響き渡り、多くの魂が放つ強い波動を感じます。
At 4Pm, Shiozawa’s “Buddha Enlightenment” was displayed in the main space of the Bodhi Tree Meditation of Enlightenment at Mahabodhi Temple, and in the presence of many Buddhists a sutra was chanted as the ceremony was held.
For this special ceremony it was the more crowded with even more pilgrims than usual, and we could only proceed little by little. The song of sutra chanting reverberates throughout the temple and we can feel the strong vibrations emitted by many souls.

AC/DCを超えて2600年の歴史の中で一度もなかった絵の奉納式典となります。
宇宙創造主のお計らいによってここに運ばれました。大切な人達との出会いに心から感謝致します。
Beyond AC/DC, it will be a painting dedication ceremony that has never happened in the 2600 years of history. I was brought here by design from the Creator of the Universe.

式典終了後に大きく赤い満月が登場。ゆっくりと仏舎利のそばに登り、妖艶なひかりを放ち、私達を見守ってくれました。
After the ceremony, a big red full moon appeared. It slowly climbed up to the side of the Buddha’s ashes, emitted a bewitching light, and watched over us.
Since photography is prohibited inside the temple, we asked the official photographer of the temple to take pictures of the ceremony.

この日の昼間はブッダガヤ周辺のタイの寺院を観光。
一時大きく減少していたインドの仏教徒が最近では増員しているのも、こうした仏教国タイのお寺が次々と建っている事にもあるそうです。ブッダガヤへバンコックから直行便がある理由です。
