インドブッダガヤに到着!

Arrive in Bodh Gaya, India!
12月5日午前0時に羽田を出発、バンコック経由で同日5日14時Gayaに到着!
Depart from Haneda at midnight on Dec.5th and arrive at Gaya on the same day at 2pm via Bangkok!
入国の税関で早速トラブル発生。
運搬してきた絵のエスキースは持ち帰る見本でしたが、輸入関税を支払うよう強制されました。1時間半以上の交渉でこれは売るものではないと抵抗したが、6000ルピー(日本円で1万円)を支払う事となった。搾取出来るものは何でも搾取するインドの洗礼を受けました。
Trouble occurred at customs during immigration process.The esquisse of the painting we brought was a sample to take home, but we were forced to pay the import duty.After more than an hour and a half of negotiations, we insisted that the painting was not for sale. But we ended up paying 6000Rs(about 10,000yen). We were forced by the customs at the airport in India to exploit the painting.
夜はブッダガヤの街を散策。ラクダ乗りにも挑戦。
We walked around the streets of Bodh Gaya at night. And tried camel riding.
三輪タクシーtuktukが道を埋め尽くし、そこに車とバイクが混在してクラクションが鳴り響き、激しい雑音で包まれる街。モディ首相による職業の斡旋のひとつがこのtuktukで、職業を持てない人が一番簡単に出来る事から、一気に台数が増えたのだそうです。
The city was lively at night and the streets were filled with three-wheeled taxis called “Tuktuk”, cars and motorcycles. The tuktuk system was implemented by Prime Minister Modi to provide jobs easily for the people and the number of tuktuk have increased tremendously.
夜のマハボデイ寺院の周辺から見える仏塔は実に幻想的です。
The pagoda seen from around Mahabodhi Temple at night was really fantastic.
ヒンドゥー教の広場では音楽を演奏するもの、お祈りをするもの、開放ムードが漂う一方、監視役は大きな拳銃をもっています。夜で暗いにもかかわらず、電気の明かりで鳥のさえずりが激しく聞こえてきます。The Hindu plaza is filled with music, prayers, and free spirited vibe, while guards carried big guns. Even though it was dark, we could hear the birds chirping with the street lights.
3時間半ほど日本より遅いGayaでの初日5日は長く充実した夜となりました。
The first day in Gaya, which was about 3.5hours behind Japan, was a long and fulfilling night.
