作品「19歳の聖徳太子像~安寧への祈り～」奈良東大寺に奉納

今年6月の東大寺様との会見から超スピードで11月1日奉納日が決定し、遂にその日がやってきました。
From the interview with Todaiji Temple in June this year, with great speed, the dedication date was decided on November 1^st, and the day has finally come.

まずは奉納式の前に大仏様にお参り。一般の方が通行できない行事にのみ開放する幅５ｍ程の広い回廊を通り、大仏殿へ向かう。
First, we visited the giant sitting Buddha statue in Nara (Daibutsu).  We headed for the Great Buddha Hall through a 5m-wide corridor that is closed to the general public and is only open during special events.

その後、東大寺ミュージアムの向かいにある、勧学院講堂の一角に作品が運ばれました。
After that, the work was brought to a corner of the Kangakuin Auditorium, opposite the Todaiji Museum.

作品にはご協力者の裏書がされておりそのお名前は、今後何百年先まで東大寺様に作品とともに収まります。本日は、東大寺奉納協力チームが応援に来てくれました。
The work is endorsed by a few supporters, and the name will be stored with the work at Todaiji _Temple for hundreds of years to come. Today, the Todaiji dedication cooperation team came to support us.

奉納管理の責任者である森本氏と会談し、作品の説明の後、森本氏は大工さんを呼び、作品保存の為の木箱を設計するよう指示されました。作品は今後大事に保存されるお約束をしていただきました。After meeting with Mr. Kojo Morimoto, who is in charge of the dedication management, Shiozawa talked about the painting.  Mr. Morimoto called a carpenter and instructed to design a wooden box for the preservation of the work. He has promised us that the work will be carefully preserved in the future.

作品の展示の機会については、今後イベント等のタイミングを相談して決定されます。
Future exhibits of the painting will be decided along with the timing of future events.

そののち、森本家のご自宅に招かれ、最高責任者である森本長老と奥様と会談を1時間半ほど行いました。
After that, we were invited to the Morimoto family’s home and had a meeting with Elder Morimoto who is abbot emeritus Todaiji Temple, and his wife for about an hour and a half.
興味深い話としては、華厳経ではお経を唱え幽体離脱していくような感覚にもなる難解な宇宙世界だと話されていました。
What was interesting to us was the story of when he chants the Kegon Sutra, he has an out of body experience.  The Kegon Sutra, the origin of Buddhism, is from an esoteric cosmic world.

塩澤のスピリチュアルな体験と共通点があり、不可思議な人間の幻視能力によって釈迦は宇宙の摂理を理解し、悟りを得たのではないか？と二人は共感し合いました。
This has something in common with Shiozawa’s spiritual experience.
Could it be that Buddha was able to understand the providence of the universe and attain enlightenment through the mysterious ability of human vision?
Elder Morimoto and Shiozawa found a lot of common philosophical ground.
