12世紀に建てられた妙法華寺は、江戸時代には徳川家により広大な敷地に拡大され大切に保護された日蓮宗の寺です。仏像や重要文化財が数々保存される由緒あるお寺です。しかし1791年に全山が焼失した後現在の規模となりましたが、その庭は今も手入れされ美しく保存されています。

Myohokkeji, built in the 12th century, is a temple of the Nichiren sect that was carefully protected by Tokugawa shogun family during the Edo period. It is a historical temple where important cultural properties such as Buddhist statues are preserved.

In 1791, all the mountains on the vast site disappeared and were rebuilt to their current size, and the garden is beautifully preserved.

その庭で、作品の撮影を試験的に行い,作品が日本庭を背景にすると見栄えする事を確認できました。

Today I took a trial shot of several works in the garden.　I found that the work looks great with a mysterious contrast when the Japanese garden is in the background.
