ガイドさんに案内されて山を登っていくと突如大きくて不思議な形をした岩が現れます。
それは、インドで最も古くから生き残った洞窟です。紀元前3世紀からのもので、天然の花崗岩に掘られた寺院建築の出発点とも言われます。当時は沢山のお坊さんたちがここ周辺に移り住み、洞窟で瞑想、修行を行ったそうです。
As we climb the mountain led by a guide, suddenly a large and strangely shaped rock appears.
It is the oldest surviving cave in India, dating from the 3rd century BC. It is also said to be the starting point for temple architecture carved into natural granite. At that time, many monks moved to the area and meditated and practiced in the cave.
内面がドーム状に掘られ、洞窟内壁表面は精巧に磨かれて不思議な光沢を帯びており、古代の高度な切削技術に感心します。
The inside of the cave is carved into a dome shape, and the surface of the inner wall of the cave is exquisitely polished to a mysterious luster. Let us admire the ancient advanced cutting techniques.
通常内覧は出来ないそうですが、友人のダル氏の信頼される人脈によって、管理人に鍵を開けてもらい中に入ることができました。
Normally, it is not possible to view the inside of the cave, but thanks to our friend Mr. Dal, the cave manager unlocked the door for us to enter.
音響効果抜群の洞窟内で音楽演奏を試みました。
Minehaha and Shiozawa tried playing music in the cave with excellent acoustics.
洞窟内は霊的な波動を放っていました。演奏と歌は神秘性を帯びビデオには沢山のオーブが滝のように舞って写っています。デビット・リンチ等、多くの著名人もこの洞窟を訪れているとのことです。
The cave was surging with spiritual energy. The performance and singing are mysterious, and
the video shows many orbs dancing like a waterfall. Many celebrities, such as David Lynch, have visited the cave in the past.
ダシュラト・マンジー（Dashrath Manjhi）が切り崩した岩山を見学。
After leaving the cave we visited the path Dashrath Manjhi carved through the ridge.
愛する奥さんが山越えで足を滑らせて亡くなってしまった。ここに道があれば妻は死なずに済んだはずだと、行政に訴えましたが、カースト制で最下層の彼の意見は無視された。ならば自分一人で！と22年、たった一人ノミとハンマーで岩山に道を切り開いたという実話である。
V字に切り崩した岩山を見るとそのスケールに驚きます。彼の凄い労力と精神力が伝わります。
His beloved wife slipped over a mountain and passed away. He appealed to the administration that if there had been a road here, his wife would have survived, but his opinion was ignored as he was at the bottom of the caste system. Burning with anger, he spent 22 years alone carving a path through a rocky mountain with just a chisel and a hammer.
