日蓮涅槃図の制作は、いよいよ終盤に向けてピッチを上げています。
The production of Nichiren Nirvana is finally coming to a climax.
今回はエスキースを作った後に日蓮宗の仏壇にふさわしい登場人物や神様を加えてエスキースの背景とは大きく変化しています。色付けシュミレーションをせずに直接屏風に色を置き描いているため、通常より時間を必要とします。
This time, after creating the Esquisse, characters and gods suitable for the Buddhist altar of the Nichiren sect are added, which greatly changes the background. It takes more time than usual because it is painted directly on the folding screen without any preliminary coloring simulation.
五色の空、雲の色は金や銀を微妙に変化させています。これまで日本で残されている仏画や涅槃図では見た事が無いモダンな仏画を目指しています。又、見る角度や光の当たり方で色が変化するのも面白いです。Another interesting feature of this work is that it changes depending on the viewing angle and how the light hits it.
The five colors of the sky and the colors of the clouds are subtly changing between gold and silver.
毎朝6時のお観経の後、日蓮さんへ心を馳せます。
Every morning at 6:00 a.m., after praying with the monk’s sutra, I thought about Nichiren Shonin.
今日は友人のKumiさんをはじめ、今回も大勢の方が入れ替わりで制作中の作品を見学がてら励ましてくれます。
Today, my friend Kumi-san came to see us, and on other days many people came through to appreciate my work. This inspired me to produce some of my best work.
本画の完成は年末の見込みで、ご開帳は大晦日からお正月となります。
The painting is expected to be completed by the end of the year, and will be exhibited between New Year’s Eve and New Year’s day.
